Jeff Round has finished the filming of his 23 minute long comedy My Heart Belongs to Daddy. This is a story about a small town boy who goes to the big city looking for love and adventure after being thrown out of the house by his father, who doesn't want to accept the fact that his son dresses like a woman. His adventure leads him to realize that the big city and romance are not always what you expect them to be. Jeff describes the main character as "Priscilla Queen of the Desert meets Mr. Bean." It was shot in Toronto, on colour 16 mm. Jeff plans to send it around the world to international film festivals and hopes to sell it to CBC. |
